Change Leadership - A

Change Challenge: In this era of tremendous technological advancement, organisations and their change leaders will need superior change leadership competencies to stay ahead of the competition. With strong change management capability, the organisation can implement accelerated change, embrace, and leverage technology, and continue to deliver revenue to shareholders. Successful change will ensure an ROI, employee change adoption, and it will be sustainable. 

Change Leadership Capability: We use an interactive and dynamic leadership business simulation for organisational leaders to learn both change leadership skills and knowledge using game characteristics and experiential learning. They will also develop change leadership self-awareness about their own emotions and those of the case study stakeholders as they react to the chosen change tactic during the one-day workshop with peers. The learning app also has embedded on demand change concept videos, stakeholder profiles, and their reactions to each team's chosen change tactic. It also records each team's learning progress, which is presented as a report at the end of the workshop.

  • Focus: Change leadership learning the ten key steps that support successful organisational change implementation.

  • Change Leadership Experiential Learning: This is a fascinating change management implementation business simulation that offers leadership teams and leaders of change experiential learning in a safe environment. This enables them to learn, discuss, test and reflect on their change leadership knowledge, skills and self-awareness. 

  • Case Study: AutoChanze™ is a global supplier of automotive systems, modules, and components to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and related aftermarkets. Up until recently they have been a successful and profitable organisation, but a recent report commissioned by the Board of Directors has indicated the automotive industry will be impacted by 4IR like never before!

  • Learning Objective: During the simulation, the change leaders (in their teams) will focus on how they can achieve the balance between normal day-to-day operations and delivering successful change and employee adoption of a new IT system. They will assess, select and implement their chosen change tactics through three simulation change phases: Plan, Execute and Sustain. They will be scored on how successful their tactics were in implementing successful change.

  • Change Leadership Approach: This is simulation is based on the proprietary a2B Change Management Framework® and the associated change concepts.

  • Outcome: The participants will be equipped with change leadership knowledge, experience, change management models, and tools that will enable them to be successful in leading organisational change and transformations. They will become more self-aware of how to manage stakeholder resistance, expectations and feelings as they try to achieve their organisation's vision and employee change adoption.

  • Who: The course is suitable for change professionals, leaders or managers who are involved in organisational change, HR or organisation effectiveness professionals, project managers, lean practitioners or anyone considering a career in change management or wanting to know more about practical change management implementation. It is also suitable for university students or anyone studying for an MBA.

  • Your role: The participants play the Head of Change role, working with 13 key stakeholders and an external partner to successfully implement change.

  • Experiential Learning: Participants will learn change management skills and knowledge through experiential learning. The participants will learn over 40 change concepts and find out how the stakeholders react to their chosen tactic.

  • Workshop Size: Maximum workshop size is 16 participants working in teams of four supported by two experienced change management professionals.

  • Workshop Duration: One day workshop with ten scoring rounds. 

  • Change Approach: is based on the a2B Change Management Framework® and each participant will also receive a complimentary copy of: Change Management Handbook - Leadership of Change® Volume 3.
